doof is a up and coming social network and gaming web site that takes the best of each together in a nice combination. doof takes the fun, addictive puzzle games that everyone loves (like Bejewled) and throws them together with a social network that allows you to share your high scores, play against your friends, and find new ones to play with.
On the gaming side, doof has a great library of games. They have games ranging all the way from their version of Bejewled and Collapse (called Gem Swap and Cascade on doof, respectively) all the way to an online Rubix Cube (called Roobix) and parking a car in a parking space without hitting anyone. doof even has some old time favorites like Space Invaders! I think most people should be able to find at least one (if not many, many more) games that they will enjoy. A comprehensive list of the games doof offers can be found here.
doof is not all about games though. doof took a little bit from several of the popular social networks and made it where users take advantage of the coolest features all under one roof on doof. First and foremost is the ability to build your “doofSpace”.
doofSpaces let you customize your doof to build an interface that you can show off and share with your friends. It is similar to building your custom MySpace, except doofSpaces are not ugly. They are sleek and have a modern, bubbly interface feel that you can customize to your heart’s content.
doof also has a “What are you doing” feed that you can update your friends (like Twitter), the ability to give virtual gifts, send messages, write on friend’s walls, earn medals from playing games, and the list of things to do goes on and on. More info on the social aspects can be found on the Make Friends section of doof.
I think that anyone should be able to find something fun on doof. Everyone should give doof a spin. (Now, back to playing Cascade!)
